FIRST USE
Initial Start Up
Fill water tank with cold, preferably
filtered water. You can do this by either
opening the top-fill water tank lid (push
to open), or by removing the water tank
at the back of the machine.
Check STEAM LEVER and HOT
WATER dial are in the CLOSED
position.
Press the POWER button to switch the
machine On. The POWER button will
flash and the LCD screen will display the
current espresso boiler temperature.
A pumping sound will be heard
indicating empty boilers are being
filled with water for the first time. This
is normal. During this time, rotate the
HOT WATER dial to the OPEN position
to “prime” the espresso boiler. When
water starts to flow from the Hot Water
outlet, rotate the HOT WATER dial to
the CLOSED position.
When the machine has reached the default
operating temperature (200˚F / 93˚C), the
POWER button light will stop flashing and
the MANUAL, 1 CUP and 2 CUP buttons
will illuminate. The machine is now in
STANDBY mode, ready for the next step
‘Flushing The Machine’.
Flushing The Machine.
When the machine has reached STANDBY
mode, run the following 3 steps:
1. Press 2 CUP button to run water
through group head.
2. Rotate HOT WATER dial to
the OPEN position and run for

3. Move STEAM LEVER to the OPEN
position and run for 10 seconds.
Repeat this cycle until tank is empty.
TIP
To easily maneuver your machine,
use the drop down swivel foot located
under the drip tray. When turned to
the UNLOCK
position, the swivel
foot drops down and lifts the machine
upwards, making it easier to access
the rear water tank or reposition the
machine to another location.
