Flash Modes
Non-TTL Auto Flash Mode
t Monitor pre- ashes
Monitor pre-flashes can be activated or canceled as a non-TTL auto flash mode
option in the custom settings. (0B-17)
Flash output is controlled more accurately with monitor pre-flashes. The SB-910
emits monitor pre-flashes before actual firing to obtain reflected flash data.
Monitor pre-flashes should be activated when auto FP high-speed sync ( 0E-24)
or FV lock (0E-25) is used.
Effective flash output distance range in non-TTL auto flash mode
The effective ash output distance range is
indicated by numbers and a bar chart on the
LCD.
The actual flash-to-subject distance should
be within the range displayed.
The range varies depending on the camera’s
image area setting, illumination pattern, ISO
sensitivity, zoom head position and aperture.
For more information, see “Specifications.”
